Please keep your dogs in the shade. Walking on hard surfaces will be hot, walking in the sun will be hot, chasing a ball in the garden, even in the shade, will be hot. Collies are stoic and will just keep going, by the time they can't help but show they are overheated the damage can be done. Let them rest, play an indoor mind game, chill out with them, but whatever you do restrict any form of exercise where they are exposed to the sun and the heat. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience with Border Collies and has sometimes been likened to one so you can expect the unexpected and will come away smiling. We can’t change the number of unwanted dogs overnight, but we can unite to help people to understand the commitment and dedication needed to make a dog happy and safe.
