“You think too much.” In parts of Africa, these words mean more than just overthinking. For many who’ve lived through conflict, it reflects a daily battle with flashbacks, fatigue, and overwhelming thoughts. In Uganda, Rwanda, and Sierra Leone, our partners work in communities where mental health is still rarely spoken about – and often deeply misunderstood. In these settings, saying “I think too much” can be a quiet but powerful call for help. 💬 “Now I wake up feeling energised to work... I no longer have suicidal ideas. I have opted to live.” – KM, genocide survivor and mother of two. Through group counselling and practical skills training, people begin to rebuild confidence, form new connections, and shape hopeful futures. This July, read how local teams are helping survivors of unimaginable hardship take steps forward – on their own terms. 📖 https://network4africa.org/you-are-over-thinking-it/ #MentalHealthSupport #SurvivorsVoices #CounsellingMatters #NetworkforAfrica (fb)
🌟 Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025 - We’re excited to share that our application for the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025 has been submitted! This year, we aim to raise £20,000 to continue our vital counselling programme in Rwanda, supporting survivors of the 1994 genocide with much-needed mental health care. 💛 Become a Pledger If you’re able to, please consider committing as a Pledger to help us reach our target. Your early support will unlock matching donations, doubling the impact of every pound given during the campaign. 📩 Interested in becoming a Pledger? Visit our pledge form http://bit.ly/4lx8QTD or get in touch with us directly via our website http://bit.ly/3UctWui Together, we can make every pound go further. 💫 #BigGive2025 #MatchFunding #MentalHealthMatters #RwandaSupport #CharityAppeal (fb)
