Many survivors in prison are realising that their experiences amount to exploitation after learning about human trafficking via our online training. Others are asking our teams to investigate their case and to help prove their innocence. For others, our training is increasing their knowledge about modern slavery, equipping them to protect themselves, support others and contribute to prevention efforts on their release. Tens of thousands of prisoners are accessing our modern slavery and human trafficking awareness training thanks to our partnership with Edovo, who provide incarcerated people with free access to training. One learner said: “Incarcerated individuals need this type of knowledge in order to have proper understanding of human trafficking. [Then,] if a situation appears or happens the individual can immediately take action and contact authorities. Thank you for this course.” Our work with Edovo has meant that: ➡️ 92,318 people have engaged with our human trafficking awareness training for the first time ➡️ Learners have spent more than 86,000 hours in the course ➡️ More than 68,000 people in prison have completed our online training (a completion rate of about 68%) Meghan Tobin, Edovo’s Senior Instructional Designer, said: “This course has had an extraordinary reach and impact, with tens of thousands of incarcerated learners engaging deeply and completing at a rate far above industry standards.
