Twelve US Seeds met in El Paso last week to gain a better understanding of the realities of migration, immigration policy, and the southern border. The Seeds attended sessions with subject matter experts from Abara and UTEP - The University of Texas at El Paso, conducted site visits that prompted exploratory dialogue sessions, navigated the realities of physical and mental borders, and shared their own family migration stories with each other. "This program taught me so much about the history of the border, what daily realities are for communities divided by the border, and how people continue to hope and prosper in the face of adversity."
