Once again, could I respectfully ask people not to leave food for animals. I removed these two large heaps of peanuts this morning as they would attract rats to the park. The wild animals in Beaumont Park have plenty of food, and they are thriving, but we do have occasional problems with burgeoning rat populations when people begin leaving food. Additionally, some foods cause problems for dogs, and I know of many owners who have incurred large vet bills from consuming food not meant for them. Thank you. John, Kirklees gardener. (fb)
