**Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge** is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge and a registered UK charity (No. 1137471). Established in 1885 as the Cambridge Training College for Women, it originally aimed to train female graduates as teachers, marking a significant step in opening the university to women. It later evolved into a mixed institution and became an official college of the university in 1949, specialising in postgraduate education before expanding to admit undergraduates aged 21 or over.
