Dear Friends I am writing this just before setting off to Southern Africa, first to Cape Town to work with the Church and then on 23rd September to Harare for three weeks with our Tariro people. You can imagine how much I am looking forward to this. I want to see Joram and Arnold who are just starting studies at a vocational school: one in carpentry and the other as an electrician. I want to meet Willard and see how he is preparing for O levels this year. Then there is a new lad, Farai Mlambo, who has just started University. And two of my friends: Ebenezer and Kudakwashe. There is a little group of feisty girls in Tsvingwe I want to see again. The list goes on. We have taken on about 15 new youngsters this year and I am still getting to know them. That is delightful. The downside is the cost. We urgently need more money. Dinner at The Travellers. In my last letter I mentioned our upcoming fundraising dinner. Many of you have shown interest, and now it’s time to confirm your place. Here are the details: 📅 Thursday 5th February 2026 📍 The Travellers Club, London 🥂 Drinks at 6.30pm | 🍽 Dinner at 7.15pm 🎤 Guest Speaker: Lucian Msamati — Zimbabwe-raised actor known for his remarkable career on stage and screen, most recently in Conclave. Tickets are £150 per person, and together we hope the evening will raise £20,000 for Tariro. This support will make a huge difference to the young people in Zimbabwe whose lives you are helping to transform.
