Aeromodelling - the construction of miniature flying machines - has been around since before the Wright brothers - and is a fantastic hobby to learn so much about constructional techniques and aerodynamics. In the winter months, the flying of models in a sports hall has become popular, with radio controlled models sharing the air with free flight (no radio) aircraft of all types.
