For our midweek service this week, we served an aromatic chicken curry from Great Himalayas Nepalese Restaurant & Bar, Southport. Big thanks to them and to our wonderful serving and storeroom volunteers who had a busy day receiving donations and providing support to people in need. Huge thanks to the lovely donors who popped by to say hello: 🌟Kate from Fancy a nibble cake club for the yummy cake 🌟St Luke's Church, Formby and St Luke’s primary school for their enormous Harvest Festival donation, kindly brought in by Steve along with a cash donation. Southport Soup Kitchen is always busier in the autumn and winter months but this year there has been no quiet period, there has been a such a huge increase in the number of people needing our support. Donations help us to keep our doors open and with no paid staff at Southport Soup Kitchen, every donation goes directly to help those that need it the most. Together we really do make a difference. Today we’d like to say a great, big, humungous Soupie 🌟THANK YOU🌟 to the generous community of Ainsdale Village Church. They created this stunning display for Harvest Festival over the weekend, with all donations of groceries to Southport Soup Kitchen. Our lovely volunteer Bina picked up 13 huge bags of groceries and £90 in cash donations yesterday. With our busiest time of year now upon us, this will be a huge help to our small charity.
