Wednesday 9 July 2025, "7 Reasons for Suffering listed in 1 Peter." Before Christ returned to Heaven in great glory, He went through great suffering for us! But Peter had not always understood this, and was even once rebuked when he told Christ he would not suffer. Now much older and wiser, Peter writes to suffering saints, and his epistle is filled with examples that suffering precedes glory. Sunday PM, 6th July 2025, "Chasing Fleas and Gospel Pleas." The chase was on; David thought he was safe in En Gedi, but Saul accidentally found him there. But he did not realise that while he was in hot pursuit of David, he was also being pursued. God was pursuing Saul to bring him to Himself. In a very powerful way, he was reminded that he was chasing the wrong things. Although David was in the wrong, we see in 1 Samuel chapter 24 a powerful example of how we ought to treat our enemies.
