Last week our children and teachers braved the wild outdoors for Bushcraft 2025! It was a few days of learning to make fire, survival skills, making shelters and even how to make burgers! 🍔 Most importantly, the children bonded and learnt the value of friendship in a new context! This week, for their science homework, our children went on nature walks with their grown-ups to collect leaves, petals, sticks and other natural treasures. They used them to create Natural Faces showing how they’d felt during the week – from happy and excited to worried or calm. They talked about their emotions, what caused them and what helped them feel better. Some even wrote sentences or drew pictures to go with their creations. Welcome to Gatehouse School Website Gatehouse is an independent school for girls and boys aged 3 to 11 in East London near Victoria Park. Accommodated in a recently renovated Victorian building with modern extensions and set in landscaped grounds which include climbing framesand an Astroturf sports court. The site is alongside Regents Canal and the many acres of Victoria Park. At Gatehouse we aim to provide children with a caring and supportive learning environment developing and encouraging each childs abilities and helping them to build an excellent foundation for life and work.
