It is Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year’s theme is COMMUNITY 💚 Finding your community in the fast paced, ever-changing big city can be tough. We see volunteering as the perfect way to ground yourself, connect with others and gain a sense of belonging, all of which hugely benefits mental health. 🧠 Volunteering can also give you a sense of purpose, and ease symptoms of stress. 🌿 Nature Day at Wormwood Scrubs! 🌿 We had a great time yesterday meeting the Scrubs' local community, including other charities doing fantastic work, such as @urbanwise.london @thenourishhub @hcga_gardens @rspb @hfcouncil Thank you to @friendsofthescrubs and especially @k8mcvay, whose incredible efforts as Community + Ecology Adviser are having such a positive impact on the site.
