Whickham Rotary's Latest Adventure Following a visit to Club by Durham City Archers, several members were invited to visit them to try out archery, We were made extremely welcome by the club and given some first class tuition. There was a mixture of abilities with some members achieving a bullseye. It was a very enjoyable morning in the sunshine followed by fish and chips. What could be better. (fb)

Defibrillator Saves Life Placing defibrillators in our community are there to save lives if needed, when we place them we hope they are never needed. Yesterday we received a phone call to let us know that the defibrillator that our club installed at the Travellers Rest in Sunniside had been used on a member of the public who suffered a cardiac arrest. Luckily the unit was there and available and successfully saved a life. We wish the member of the public all the best and hope they have a speedy recovery. (fb)
