#U17CC drivers are more experienced and safer road users, who are less likely to be involved in an incident: More at https://t.co/sFj2i0Dsug Our aim is to enable under age drivers to practice & improve their driving skills legally & safely to produce safer drivers at age 17. The objects of the charity are restricted to the promotion of road safety for the benefit of the public and in particular young people. These objects are pursued through funded research, publications and a range of practical skill and attitudinal development activities designed to promote road safety in the minds of the target audience.

The Under 17 Car Club Charitable Trust Driving for the Future By engaging with this group of people before they reach 17 we are able to instil attitudes of safer driving that stay with them for life. Graduates of our schemes are much less likely to be involved in an accident than those who do not have appropriate training before the age of 17. The U17CC Charitable Trust was launched on 16th October 2012 in the House of Commons. We believe that the most effective way to enable this vulnerable group to respond to the challenge is by Our research is primarily focused on comparing the experience on the road of those who have attended the Under 17 Car Club or the Under 17 Drivers Pathfinder Projects with their peer group nationally.
