🌳 Our Grazing Livestock report features several farm case studies from across the UK, with each farm putting sustainable and regenerative principles into practice. In this video we meet Sophie Gregory at Home Farm in Dorset, one of the farmers featured in our report. Sophie and her husband, Tom, are first-generation organic dairy farmers with a herd of around 400 Jersey, Friesian and Shorthorn cows producing nutrient-dense milk from the grass. Here, Sophie talks about their use of regenerative farming methods, including a focus on improving soil health and how this feeds into everything else: “healthy soil, healthy plant, healthy cow, healthy milk, healthy humans.” Sophie and Tom also host educational visits as part of the SFT’s Beacon Farms Network, whereby young people and adults can spend time on sustainable and regenerative farms to learn more about the story behind their food.
