This medieval hall house dating from the 15th century is on Steep Hill. In the 18th & 19th centuries it was an inn called the Harlequin. From 1931 it was a bookshop and that’s how I first remember it. The bookshop closed in 2017 and the building still awaits a new use. https://t.co/vLK08PE9e4 (tw)
Numbers 6 and 7 Castle Hill are in the square between the castle and the cathedral in Lincoln. They are a pair of very elegant and recently restored townhouses from the early eighteenth century. They have beautiful brickwork and delightful pedimented stone doorcases. https://t.co/OSaP6HJkG7 (tw)

Welcome The Historic Lincoln Trust was established to support the realisation of the vision for Historic Lincoln which aims to increase awareness and knowledge of Lincolns important place in the history of England and in the process to boost Lincolnshires tourism industry. The Historic Lincoln Trust promotes the conservation protection and improvement of the physical and historic environment of the city and supports the education and enjoyment of the public. The Trust is currently supporting the major project Lincoln Cathedral Connected. This project generously supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund will radically improve visitor experience at the Cathedral and aims to engage people in the Cathedrals past archaeology and architecture.
