We are pleased to announce that we will once again be running our popular online training webinar series for students preparing for the BPhO Round 0 and Round 1 competition. Seminars are delivered by Dr Andrew French of Winchester College (and fantastic student assistants from Cambridge and Oxford Universities). The first session will take place this Thursday, 11 September 2025, at 8:00 PM (UK time) and last a little under an hour. Interested students must register THEMSELVES by Thursday, 11 September 2025, at 4:00 PM (UK time) using this link: https://forms.office.com/e/yEKKj4kUhZ A Zoom link will be emailed to all registered students on Thursday, 11 September 2025, at 6:00 PM. Students should have pen and paper, and a printout of the questions for each week. The first session will involve the 2023 Round 1 paper. For maximum enjoyment, download the 1 question per page workbook for the 2023 paper from https://eclecticon.info/physics_bpho.htm, and (if possible) print this out and have a go at some of the problems before the session. We'll communicate the problems likely to be looked at in each session in the email with the Zoom link. Even better - consider watching the seminars in groups so you can discuss the problems before, after, and possibly during!
