This week, some of the young adults on our Wednesday Team took a walk down to the park for some fresh air and exercise. The young people enjoyed taking turns on the bike around the park, pushing each other on the swing, and having a chat together in the sunshine. N specifically loved watching the movement of the roundabout and thought it was hilarious to watch his Support Worker slide down the slide and pretend to fall. It's great to see our young people connect with their Support Workers through humour & fun, and build positive relationships with each other through shared interests. (fb)

The Monday Team are back again with another “Plan, Shop, Cook” session and this time they’ve been hard at work making a delicious chicken and vegetable curry, followed by a lemon drizzle cake with custard. Yum!😋🍽️ In the morning, the young people had a discussion to decide what vegetables they wanted in their curry, and decided on onions, garlic, and pepper. Once they'd put their lists together, they walked to the shop and, with the help of their Activity Support Workers, found and paid for their ingredients. It was a very hot day, so once everyone had cooled down and had a drink, they got stuck right into food prep and cooking! What will they make next?!👩‍🍳 (fb)
