This September, Mary and her daughter Jenn have teamed up to support Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month - dedicating their efforts to raising crucial funds and awareness for everyone affected by the disease. Mary, a retired critical care nurse living with IPF - is going the distance by taking daily walks with her lovely dogs. Jenn, a busy nail technician and beautician - is her mum’s greatest supporter. To mark the occasion, she’s organised a raffle for her clients and transformed her salon into a purple haven for the month! 💜 Mary and Jenn told us their inspiring story: “I was diagnosed with PF in 2019, and since then APF has been my “go-to” for information and support. I’m taking part in this year’s Go the Distance Challenge, my second time, to raise as much cash and awareness as I can. Where possible, I walk with family and friends - Together We Are Stronger! As my condition deteriorates, my distances may be less, but my determination is greater.” Mary Little “When mum was diagnosed with PF, both dad and I were devastated. She’s not just my mum - she’s my best friend. We have lots of adventures together, at home and abroad. Mum’s oxygen now limits where we can go - so we have to be more inventive! My working hours are such that ‘Going the Distance’ was difficult for me, so instead I decided to ‘Create a Stir’ and run a raffle for my clients.
