Banbury Museum – We display local history collections and hosts touring exhibitions

A family friendly museum located in Banbury, next to the idyllic canal side. Permanent history collection, international temporary exhibitions and fun for all! Banbury Museum is a purpose built museum, which displays historic collections relating to North Oxfordshire and beyond, and temporary exhibitions. The Museum engages a broad audience through an extensive programme of educational activities and also engages in historical research of both activities and collections. It offers professional museum advice to other museums and heritage projects.

Explore the towns origin and history with displays on the Civil War plush manufacturing the Victorian market town and costume from the 17th century to the present day.
