Queen's Award recipients & Historic England 'Angels'. Part of the NFCF. The Friends mind Yorkshire’s 1868 Cemetery & Chapels. Charity 1156569. Est. 2002 Gate Opening Times Oct-March: 8:00 - 17:30 Apr-Sep: 8:00 - 21:00 Peace Garden closes at 4pm. The aims are to provide and ensure a cleaner, greener, safer environment for all those making lawful use of the cemetery. This involved the re-introduction of benches, a vandal-proof water system, + 107 sections of perimeter railing-each with a memorial plaque and sponsored by members of the community, plus four gates opened and locked daily by volunteers.
