For over a decade, Oxford University Earth Sciences students have traveled to ASU BIOS for their capstone field course, combining coastal surveys with time aboard the @rvatlanticexplorer. 🚢 🦺 This immersive experience brings classroom training in geology, chemistry, and physics into practice, as students collect and analyze real datasets that highlight the interconnectedness of Earth’s systems - from atmosphere to ocean.☁️➡️🌊 The Oxford–ASU BIOS partnership has also inspired career pathways; Eloise Chambers first came to BIOS as an Oxford student in 2019 and now works in the Bermuda Atlantic Time Series (BATS) Lab @bats_ocean with Dr. Rodney Johnson, supporting global climate science through monthly open-ocean data collection.
