Muktangan UK Trust | Educational Charity

Raising awareness of and fundraising for the @NGOMuktangan - education for children in #Mumbai uktrust@muktanganedu.org Bringing together a UK based network of supporters to fundraise, support and celebrate the work of Muktangan in India. Every year Muktangan trains more than 250 local members of the community as school teachers and provides high quality child-centred English medium education to more than 2000 children in Mumbai. Muktangan currently works in 7 Municipal Schools and this number is ever growing. Muktangan Educational Trust raises money in the UK to support the work of Muktangan Schools in India.

Muktangan gives disadvantaged children in Mumbai an education and people from the community a vocation. Muktangan is committed to providing highquality and inclusive education and training. The children are taught in one of seven schools in Mumbai while local people are trained to be teachers in a dedicated education centre to create a sustainable model.
