Empowering Farmers Through Knowledge: Highlights from IEF’s Global Egg School Earlier this summer, the IEF, in collaboration with Farhad Mozafar and Dr Amr Saad Saad of Lohmann Breeders, delivered a three-day technical training programme at the @New Horizon’s farm, for Ebenezer Mozambique Agricultural students, and egg farmers in Mozambique — equipping participants with practical knowledge to advance commercial egg production. 📍 Day 1: Basics of Successful Egg Production An introduction to poultry management, biosecurity, housing systems, and flock health essentials. 📍 Day 2: Essential Elements for Commercial Success Focused on rearing, animal health and sustainable practices for efficient and profitable layer operations. 📍 Day 3: Hands-On Necropsy Demonstration A practical session providing in-depth insights into poultry health diagnostics and disease management. Throughout the training, we were inspired by the enthusiasm, dedication, and eagerness to learn shown by all participants — a clear reflection of the bright future of poultry farming in Mozambique.
