Teenagers and young adults living with cancer often experience significant challenges to their mental health. 🙁This can include anxiety, depression and other emotional distress. 😢 The diagnosis and treatment process can interrupt social and psychological development, leading to feelings of isolation, uncertainty and loss of identity. In addition to this, longer delays in diagnosis are also associated with increased anxiety, depression and reduced quality of life for young people. 👫 Every grant application we receive from young people and their families asks for support for a vast range of things, but with the same outcome of alleviating these emotions somehow.
