Join our award-winning music director Hilary Campbell at an exclusive London screening of The Choral, a powerful new film set in WWI Yorkshire celebrating the spirit of choral singing. 🎬 On Monday 3 November, Sony Pictures, in aid of the Royal Philharmonic Society presents an exclusive screening of The Choral at London’s Ham Yard Hotel—a moving new film by Alan Bennett and Sir Nicholas Hytner, starring Ralph Fiennes and celebrating the power of music in wartime Yorkshire. Preceding the screening, our very own Hilary Campbell, award-winning Musical Director of Bristol Choral Society, will join a live panel discussion alongside broadcaster Alexander Armstrong and director Nicholas Hytner. About us We are one of the leading big city choirs in the UK and proud of our long history and contribution to the musical and cultural life of Bristol. Established in 1889 we have an auditioned membership of 130 and are going from strength to strength under the leadership of Musical Director Hilary Campbell. and were delighted have won several awards in 2021 including the Royal Philharmonic Society Inspiration Award.
