BATTLE OF BRITAIN 85, DAY 53 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 BATTLE DIARY - Saturday 31st August: Weather - Hazy conditions. Day - Raids start early, Airfields and Radar Stations attacked again following previous days raids. Extensive damage. Night - Bombers over Liverpool, Portsmouth, Manchester, Bristol, Rotherhithe, Durham, Stockport, Gloucester, Worcester. Liverpool badly damaged. Aircraft losses - RAF 39 / Luftwaffe 41 Pilots on both sides suffering badly from the unrelenting action. Moral however remained high in the RAF. Moral amongst Luftwaffe pilots undermined by Goerings constant recriminations.
