Our Climate Change Co-ordinator, Clare Downing, recently swapped the training room for the great outdoors, visiting the team at Chilterns National Landscape. Out in the field, Clare, who has had a busy few months delivering her bespoke Climate Literacy Training, connected with the team to hear their thoughts on climate change and see first-hand the inspiring projects underway, from restoring precious chalk streams to supporting a SSSI-designated grassland farm. Clare said: “I had a fantastic day in the Chilterns, meeting the team and discussing climate change. We explored a range of projects and talked about how working with farming clusters can bring real co-benefits for agriculture, climate and nature recovery.” Since joining the National Landscape Association, Clare has launched a Carbon Literacy Project-approved training course which is available to all National Landscape staff. We're starting the week with a warm welcome the newest member of the National Landscapes Association, Neha Bhayani. A graduate from Royal Holloway, University of London, where she studied a BSc in Geography, Neha’s experience ranges from leading a localised environmental group to being an environmental analyst. Her work has also focused on charitable income generation, organisational strategy, grants work, corporate partnerships and volunteerism. Her curiosity also extends into learning, with a particular interest in biomimicry and Indigenous Knowledge, areas she is keen to connect with her new role as Data Officer for Gower Landscape Connections…another place she is looking forward to getting to know.
