12 days to go!✍️🏆 Thank you very much to everyone who has already submitted their entries to our TELL US A STORY MEMOIR WRITING COMPETITION – it’s been fantastic to see your entries coming in. The deadline for submissions is 31st August, so you still have time to pull your entry together.🤩 Remember the competition is for both adults and children & young people, with prizes in both categories. ADULTS Please send a synopsis of your planned book, a short biography of yourself or the person you are writing about, and the first two chapters to a maximum of 5,000 words. CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE Please send a piece of writing between 500 and 1,000 words. This can be a poem, memory, reflection, or true story – and you are welcome to include a picture. All entries are to be emailed to: info@readingforce.org.uk No postal submissions. PRIZES🥳 Adults 1st prize is a publishing contract with Pen & Sword publishers. 2nd and 3rd place winners will each receive a £100 book token. Children 1st prize winners from each service will have their entry published in Army&You Magazine, Homeport and Envoy magazines. 2nd and 3rd place winners in each service will each win a £50 book token. This competition is tri-service for all members of the armed forces community, including serving, veteran, spouses, partners, children, young people, and relatives. Your voice and story matters.
