🌿 Volunteers make a difference! 🌿 This morning, Ivan kindly spent his volunteering hours pruning a climber, trimming a hedge, and repainting the trellis that provides a tidy screen between the Spitfire Cafe Manston patio and the toilet block. It’s not glamorous work — but it’s vital, and done out of pride for the museum and the experience we offer our visitors. What’s often forgotten is that this work doesn’t just enhance the museum — it improves the site as a whole, including the outlook and environment enjoyed by patrons of the cafe, whose customers and staff also enjoy the benefit of this care and attention every day. 👏 We’re incredibly lucky to have a team of people who give their time so generously — not just for the museum, but for everyone who shares our space. A warm thank you as well to our good friends at JJUK Painting & Decorating Ltd for supplying the wood treatment that helped bring the timber back to its best.
