With the start of the holidays, our weekday callouts have increased with Wednesday strangly attracting double callouts. While it may still be summer, cold weather and darkness have played a part in many of our callouts, and hillgoers should pack for delays and unplanned moments that they don't expect. Callout 105: 21 Jul - Moel winion. A paraglider experienced a problem with their wing and crashed near Moel Winion, they were seriously injured but were able to call for help. @maritimecoastguard Rescue 936 lifted team members onto the hill, and @air_ambulance were put on standby. The casualty was treated and flown to @ygedbangor for treatment. Callout 106: 23 Jul - Cneifion Arete. 2 experienced scramblers were climbing in poor visibility when they got stuck off route on steep ground. The team deployed, and a party climbed up to the stuck pair, made them safe, and assisted them to the top of the climb to be met by a second hill team who helped them off teh mountain. Callout 107: 23 Jul - Tryfan. A party of 5 were descending the north-ridge when they became lost on steep ground, and one of the group became unable to continue. Without suitable clothing or torches, they were advised to remain in place, and 2 hill parties deployed to find them. They were given torches, warm clothing, and food, then led from the mountain. Callout 108: 30 Jul - Capel Curig. @welshambulanceservice requested help for a member of the public who had fallen and hurt themselves in Capel Curig. Once treated by the ambulance service, team members stretchered the casualty to the ambulance. Callout 109: 30 Jul - Carnedd Llewelyn. For the 2nd job of our 3rd "Workout Wednesday", the team was called out for a walker with a suspected fractured ankle on Carnedd Llewelyn. The coastguard rescue helicopter lifted a large stretcher party as high as the cloud would allow, and they walked the rest of the way to the casualty. They were treated and placed in a @blizzardsurvivalproducts jacket in our stretcher before a lengthy, very wet evacuation down toward Melynllyn for a vehicle pickup. Callout 110: 31 Jul - Moel Siabod.
