🎉 Hattie’s Hoedown - What a Night! 🎉 Wow… what an incredible evening! The very first Hattie’s Hoedown was everything we hoped for and more, a night filled with laughter, music, love, and the most wonderful community coming together to support Hattie’s House at the GLO. 💫 We’re thrilled to share that the event raised just over £10,000! 💫 As Lisa said in her personal FB post: Hattie’s name shone bright in neon lights and we know she would have been absolutely blown away! ✨ Big News for Paul! ✨ Some of you will have read about Paul graduating in September in our latest newsletter. Well since then Paul has been on a serious job-hunting mission and this week his determination paid off! 🙌 When a Marianist College social worker posted a chef job opening for the priests at Mtomondoni Catholic Church in his class WhatsApp group, Paul wasted no time. He headed straight over to apply, only to discover the interview was practical and happening *the same day*! He took this in his stride and rose to the challenge and was offered the job on the spot. Paul started work the next morning (no time to waste!), and we could not be prouder of him. For those of us who've got young people and young adults in our lives, you will know first hand how much determination and adaptability this must have taken. This exciting new chapter means some changes to his transition plans: he now needs accommodation closer to his workplace, as commuting from his current house would cost him over KES 400 daily. We are assisting him with this and are hopeful he’ll secure a suitable place to live very soon and be able to begin this next stage of life with confidence and joy.
