A lovely report from @kotandover of their end of summer trip to @magdalenfarm funded by @allegrasambition “What a way to finish the summer holidays - it was fun, it was action packed and the children returned home buzzing on the back of all their experiences. We orienteered, we had river raft races, we fed animals and we built dens. We face painted, we had team challenges, we collected eggs, enjoyed pizza making and even made smoothies on a bike. Just when we thought we might relax for 5 minutes we whizzed off to the zip wire, played card games and built our own wood fires. It is a very different environment to the one they are typically used to and it was wonderful to watch the children’s confidence grow both individually and as a group during our stay. Whether it was trying new activities or being brave interacting with animals, they all appeared to take a great deal from the trip and it was hugely rewarding to see. It really was a memorable experience for us all and we are incredibly grateful to have been given this opportunity. This year marks 10 years since we lost Allegra 💔 and, on Saturday together with my fellow Trustees, we plan to walk the Clarendon way marathon distance from Salisbury to Winchester to remember our precious girl. This month we are finally building the outdoor gym at Bar End Leisure Centre in Winchester which will be free to use by all. It will be a fitting place to remember Allegra who used to train on the site with WADAC. We are however in need of additional fundraising to finance the project as costs have risen.
