Earlier this autumn, @calahomes organised a spectacular Dragon Boat Race Day in Woking. The event raised an amazing £3,565 for York Road Project, as well as further funding for Samaritans and Stop Domestic Abuse. You may have seen Stuart, one of our clients, on BBC News today. Rogue landlords are a huge problem for people experiencing homelessness, and we’re pleased that Woking Borough Council are tackling the issue head on. Stuart is now a resident in one of our Move On Properties, and we’re optimistic that the council’s new licences will make a real difference for local people. (fb)
