We are so proud to share that our ambassador, Prof. Juan Pablo Kaski and his team (including our research nurse and assistant, Ella Field and Annabelle Barnes) have won the RCP Excellence in Patient Care Award for Research. Their work embedding research into a clinical service to improve outcomes for children with heart conditions has been vitally important at GOSH, and we are honoured to support their team with our ongoing fundraising. Prof. Kaski said: “It is a real honour to receive the Royal College of Physicians Excellence in Patient Care Award for Research. Embedding research within our clinical service means that our work has our patients and their families at its heart and that the findings of our research can be quickly translated into clinical practice to improve patient care. Our team’s work has led to new discoveries and developments that have already had a positive impact on the care and outcomes of children with inherited cardiac conditions. The award is a recognition for the hard work and exceptional dedication of our amazing team.
