As usual, we were very pleased at Riverside Community Centre to welcome Carnival organisers and stewards, people getting changed and also people just coming in out of the rain or to use the facilities, as well as our lovely Town Twinning guests from Bad Hersfeld. We open for for the procession every year, this year's weather made us even more popular though and over 150 beverages were provided plus biscuits and now we have to stock up on Jammy Dodgers as we have run out! Yes, we're open should you like to come in for a sit down and free refreshments or to use the loo, baby changing facilities and disabled toilet. Some people pop in to get changed into their costumes too! Please note we usually close to watch the procession itself but re-open before the end. ALL WELCOME! (fb)
