In 2024 RWoB created our 'Ways of Working' agreement. The 'Ways of Working' was developed by and for staff and volunteers of RWOB. It aims to offer guidelines on very practical ways we work with women and reflect on the attitudes and behaviour communicated through our verbal and non-verbal communication at the Drop-in. We create a safe and respectful space that feels inclusive to any woman whether part of a community or alone and isolated. To expand on the project, and ensure its accessibility for all our community we commissioned the talented Eva Poliszczuk to create illustrations that captured some of our 'Ways of Working'. Eva, kindly funded by Bristol City Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, has created this image which shows our focus on listening, our awareness of unconscious bias, our focus on integration and our aim to be non-judgmental, and finally our focus on community languages'. Our Women's Health Hub have been busy again, this time with the focus on menopause. There were talks, leaflets and plenty of questions about the symptoms and treatments available. "Women’s health hubs bring together healthcare professionals and existing services to provide integrated women’s health services in the community, centred on meeting women’s needs across the life course. Hub models aim to improve access to and experiences of care, improve health outcomes for women, and reduce health inequalities". Next month we will focus on contraception... (fb)
