Wings of Hope for Palestinian children: peace and stability has not yet come to the Middle East but our plans for CATT training are beginning to develop. But we have made a visit to Cairo, where there are many Gazan refugee families and organisations needing training to help them recover from trauma. We will train there in the coming months. In addition, we succeeded in getting a visa for Ursula Mukarker, the Director of Wings of Hope for Trauma in Bethlehem and she has now travelled to London for CATT training. Together we are working towards ‘hybrid’ CATT training for people treating children in the West Bank next October, and have funded children’s books about psychological trauma to help support children and educate their carers. Our fundraising campaign for work in both Cairo and the West Bank is ongoing and has reached 63% of target.
