📸✨ A week to remember… We’re still soaking in the depth, grace and beauty of the UK Dhrupad Residential Workshop 2025 with Pt. Uday Bhawalkar This five-day immersion was more than just a music workshop. It was a living, breathing, glimpsed experience of the guru-shishya parampara, where music is passed not only through words and notes, but through presence, shared time, and deep listening. We are endlessly grateful to Pt. Uday Bhawalkar for the generosity, clarity and humility with which he shared his profound knowledge and life philosophy - always seamlessly woven into his teaching. Every raga, every pause, every story carried the wisdom of a lifelong journey in Dhrupad. Our heartfelt thanks also to Shri Chintan M. Upadhyay and Shri Kirit Singh for their guidance, support and tireless assistance throughout the workshop. And to Shri Pratap Awad for his soulful pakhawaj accompaniment that brought the compositions alive. This year was extra special - not only was it our 10th anniversary at Dhrupad Music Society UK, it was also our largest gathering yet, with participants from many parts of the 🌎 💛. From early morning sessions to shared meals, spontaneous singing, and bursts of laughter – we carry forward precious memories and a renewed sense of connection.
