30 Sep 2025 – 17 Feb 2026 | Athelstan Museum Our next exhibition is Malmesbury and World War Two To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two the exhibition features the many aspects of the war which affected everyday life in wartime Malmesbury. Exhibits cover rationing, civil defence, evacuees, prisoners of war and much more. Items are from our own collection or loaned by local contributors. All shed a light on how World War Two affected the lives of the townsfolk of Malmesbury. The photograph is of the ‘Wings for Victory’ event on May 15th 1943. Photo: Charles Vernon. (fb)
Did you know that the Athelstan Museum is accessible to ALL visitors? There is a wheelchair lift to the mezzanine floor and a wheelchair is available if you need it. We also have disabled toilets nearby. (fb)
