Young Star Mentoring completed a Switzerland experience for 6 careleavers for 5 days . We went to place called Engelberg and did 3 days of hiking while completing wellbeing workshops on Breathing techniques, emotional regulation and self awareness to assist the young adults for when they go independent to help with stress and anxiety . It's was challenging walking out there but they all fully enjoyed it . (fb)

Young Star Mentoring completed a memorial for a young man who we mentored called Redd. YSM mentored Redd since he was 12 and he came to Snowdonia many times along with The Lake District , sadly Redd passed away earlier this year but we took his family up Mt Snowdon and unveiled a plaque to Redd in his memory which is in the Llanberis Community centre . Special thanks to the Llanberis committee who gave permission to place the memorable there . At Young Star Mentoring we call Mt Snowdon the mountain of mental health so every time we go there we talk about the importance of mental health awareness and mental self care . We advise and encourage the young people there's nothing like a good walk to clear your head. (fb)
