Food security is a global issue, and the most recent report from Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) shows that there is a lot of improvement needed to reach Zero Hunger by 2030. Through ACWW’s Rural Women in Action fund, we are supporting grassroots projects that help rural women access and control productive resources that increase income and food security, and sustain higher agricultural productivity. 🌟 Member Society Highlight: Cape Women’s Agricultural Association (CWAA) Cape Women’s Agricultural Association in South Africa are a women's organisation aimed at personal growth, offering monthly programmes of talks, exhibitions, and education outings on agriculture and horticulture, arts and crafts, health, and culture, among many others. They have also been a long-standing active member society of ACWW 👏 At a local branch meeting - 'Kalahari Circle' - Snoekie Erasmus (CWAA and ACWW member), hosted a talk about the work of ACWW and the historic relationship between the two organisations. ACWW World President, Magdie de Kock, had also sent a special message to the women of the group, and following the talk there were a few trivia questions where the winner received a tea towel the ACWW Triennial World Conference in Malaysia!
