The Concrete Jungle Foundation (CJF) is a United Kingdom-based nonprofit organization, registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with charity number 1177490. Founded in 2018, CJF is dedicated to empowering youth worldwide through skateboarding and social development programs.
Mission and Activities
Concrete Jungle Foundation focuses on building skateparks and running youth development initiatives that foster life skills, education, and social inclusion. The organization’s core mission is to support young people by providing safe, creative spaces for skateboarding, alongside complementary programs such as school tutoring, social work, and workshops. These initiatives aim to enhance the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of youth communities around the globe.
Global Reach
Since its inception, CJF has built six community skateparks within five years, undeterred by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The foundation's outreach programs have positively impacted over 1,000 young people worldwide, promoting inclusivity with a notable 43% female participation rate in recent years. CJF supports local employment by engaging youth in professional apprenticeships, having provided paid opportunities for 15 beneficiaries.
International Partnerships and Programs
Concrete Jungle Foundation operates programs primarily in Peru, Jamaica, and Morocco, where it employs over a dozen local youth as part of its community development strategy. In addition, CJF maintains partnerships with skate organizations across five European countries: Austria, France, Greece, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. These collaborations help expand the foundation’s impact and foster a global network of support for youth empowerment through skateboarding.
Leadership and Innovation
In 2022, the foundation launched two female leadership awards in Peru and Jamaica to encourage and recognize young women leaders within their communities. CJF continuously innovates its programs to adapt to local needs, blending skateboarding with life skills education and social initiatives to create meaningful, sustainable change.
The Concrete Jungle Foundation exemplifies a unique blend of sport and social development, utilizing skateboarding as a tool to inspire and empower youth across diverse communities worldwide.

📣 Announcement : new project! We are happy to announce the 🇲🇦 Mirleft Skatepark 🛹 project in collaboration with @association.mirleft.surf @wondersaroundtheworldorg @concretejunglefoundation This beautiful skate plaza has been designed by @inoutconcept_ in collaboration with WAW & CJF. The design has been made specifically for Mirleft, incorporating Moroccan and Berber aesthetics as well as blending into the surrounding architectural and landscaping environment. The 985 square meters skatepark will be built on the Mirleft central skate plaza, providing a safe community space for the local youth to skate and gather, as well as skatepark construction apprenticeships for Moroccan adults skateboarders.
