Lancaster Area Search & Rescue is looking for new members to join our board of trustees to help move the charity forward. Over the past couple of years we have faced major changes; recovering from the pandemic and now more recently the closure of our charity shop, as a result this transition period is a very exciting time to join the charity. We are looking for self motivated individuals who are ready to join our board of trustees to help support our operations through fundraising, grant applications and decision making alongside the rest of the trustees. We want people who are willing to share their views, opinions and experiences with us to help us grow and develop, whilst providing our search & rescue service to the local community. No prior experience is necessary. Trustees are also able to get involved in other aspects of the charity including our operational team, outreach team and young lifesavers club if they wish to do so but please note this is optional and will be subject to further applications and training. With more people than ever enjoying the UK waterways, especially on hot days, the need for water safety education has never been higher. We work with Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK and Surf Life Saving GB to contine to deliver these vital, life saving skills and knowledge. (fb)
