Recently, our Director and Grand Union founder Cheryl attended the launch of ‘The Ground is Singing’, Issue 2 of Sandwell-based arts organisation Multistory’s annual journal ‘The Printing Room’. 🌱 📚 Featuring work by Exodus Crooks, Billy Haynes, Laura Onions, Lorna Rose and Abigail Villarroel, ‘The Ground is Singing’ responds to Multistory’s ‘Green Roots’ programme, exploring ‘climate resilience’ and (in)access to green space in Sandwell and the Black Country. We were especially excited to read Exodus’ piece, ‘Steel Soil’. Exodus, a British-Jamaican multidisciplinary artist and educator, is working with us on a long-term exploratory project, having helped facilitate The Growing Project here at Grand Union. 💘 📝 Cheryl writes, ‘I enjoyed the earthly connections and underground poetics amongst a warm and generous crowd. Space Wolverhampton is a new venue, and the perfect setting for this kind of event.’ 🔗 To learn more about Multistory’s annual journal, ‘The Printing Room’, click here: https://multistory.org.uk/product/the-ground-is-singing-the-printing-room-issue-2/ [Image 1: Two people sit together on a long, green sofa beside a coffee table.
