With a strong commitment to providing a warm and friendly environment, WADE offers a range of services designed to enhance the lives of older residents.

Mission and Services

WADE's mission is centered on providing comprehensive support and social opportunities for the elderly. Its services include:

  • Day Centre: Located in central Wokingham, the WADE Day Centre offers a safe and social environment. The centre is set in a beautiful Grade II listed building with extensive gardens, providing a tranquil setting for members to relax and engage in activities[2][3].

  • Health and Wellness Services: Members can access a variety of health and wellness services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, chiropody, and hairdressing. A professional team ensures that all members' personal care needs are met[2].

  • Social Activities: The centre organizes various activities such as flower arranging, games, seated exercises, and live events to keep members engaged and active[2].

Financial Support and Fundraising

WADE relies on fundraising efforts and community support to continue its services. This includes events like ladies' nights and participation in local fundraising initiatives such as non-uniform days, summer fairs, and Christmas fairs[1].

Community Engagement

WADE actively engages with the local community through a lottery scheme known as the Wade 150 Club, which encourages involvement and offers cash prizes to participants each month[1].
