Durham Orthodox Church The Orthodox Church of St Cuthbert and St Bede Durham About us Welcome to the Orthodox Church in Durham an Englishspeaking Eastern Orthodox parish of the Romanian Patriarchate and a meeting point of all Orthodox faithful and enquirers into the faith residing in the area. We are a mixed Eastern Orthodox parish under the pastoral care of Metropolitan Iosif of Western and Central Europe Romanian Patriarchate. Our worship is strengthened by the prayers of Christians from different Orthodox backgrounds including English Greek Romanian Russian German Bulgarian Georgian and Polish Orthodox Christians as well as guests from other churches.
