Our National Parks are under threat. The UK Government is proposing changes that could weaken protections for National Parks and National Landscapes across the country, including the Peak District. These treasured places aren’t just scenic backdrops. They are living landscapes, home to wildlife, heritage, and communities. They are where people come to heal, to connect, and to breathe. Diluting their protections risks damaging fragile ecosystems, undermining decades of conservation work and limiting public access and enjoyment.
