Over the course of six months, Martine and John spent around 17 weeks staying at Hearts Together while supporting their son, Duncan, during his illness. Duncan was diagnosed with an untreatable brain tumour and, following a biopsy that caused serious complications, he sadly passed away at St Luke’s Hospice. Throughout this period, Hearts Together became a consistent source of practical and emotional support for Martine and John as they navigated the many challenges of their son’s illness and the time following his death. We are very grateful to Martine and John for allowing us to share their experience.
