LEAF is the charity planting trees to combat the climate and biodiversity crises Learn More about our Projects Threatened Ecosystems LEAF is restoring some of the worlds most threatened ecosystems including the East African coastal forest biodiversity hotspot the forest that stretches from Somalia to Mozambique. The trees found in these areas have great biodiversity high endemism and are essential for providing clean air and water to the inhabitants of these areas. 100 Native Species We plant 100 native tree species including species threatened with extinction. This approach supports tree diversity the return of native fauna and the longterm sequestration of carbon.
